Lisa M – Yoga Teacher and Studio Director

lisa profile website photo#My background and training qualification is Hatha Vinyasa Yoga. I trained in the UK and I’m REPS registered and certified. I have trained in the Far East and Europe and worked in all the local health and fitness clubs.

I have practiced other styles of Yoga, from Astanga when I’ve wanted power and strength, Yin Yoga when I’ve felt the need to surrender and release energy. I’ll always love Classical Yoga, it’s sacred, nurturing and spiritual for me.

Hot Yoga is my passion, teaching alignment and flow through Hatha Vinyasa fills me with a sense of abundance and peace.

My meditation practice is Vipassana and I attend at least one course a year. If you come to my class then you will get a flavour of Vipassana meditation at the beginning of each session. I truly believe it will set you up for an amazing class and the potential of an amazing day.

“I teach from the heart – this enables me to stay with my students. Flowing mindfully with the breath into strong and purposeful asanas, feeling grounded and whole. Allowing your mind and body to surrender to the practice will enhance your flexibility as you let go of resistance. You will leave class feeling centred, nurtured and rejuvenated, possibly amazing!”

“There are poor yoga teachers, there are good yoga teachers and then there is Lisa. Relax initially with a mindfully empty mind as you drift into a state of equanimity. Then, as the session begins, experience the gradual build up to ever more complex yoga positions. Unlike many yoga sessions however, you will not find familiar routines endlessly repeated, you will experience a new flow of yoga moves with each and every session. Unwind at the end of each practice with Savasana and then feel eager to start the rest of your day.”

Leigh – Fitness Guru

I am a motivated Yoga and Pilates Instructor. I enjoy inspiring others to improve wellness and commit to long-term health and fitness goals. Energetic and outgoing with a collaborative spirit, I enjoy teaching various types of vinyasa, power flows as well as gentle and therapeutic restorative flows. Students love personal attention and personalised help in class. I like to spend time either before or after class working 1-on-1 with students, talking about problem poses and generally supporting their growth. I have been teaching classes across Dubai for the past couple of years, in addition to this I work with individuals and families. I have been working with a close friend who feels she needs individual attention and is not comfortable in classes due to various reasons. Her progress is amazing and she’s fallen in love with yoga, as a teacher this is one of the most rewarding gifts. Within Dubai I have taught for Fitness First in various clubs throughout, Exhale Yoga and Pilates Studio, GFX Pilates Studio, Bikram & Pilates UAE Studio and Fitrepublik.

I am a registered Yoga Teacher (RYS200) since February 2014. I have practised yoga on and off since May 2005. My aim is to keep classes fun and accessible to both beginner and intermediate students. I firmly believe yoga is for everyone and gives us what we need whether that may be a mind and body connection or a great workout. Yoga has helped me grow in so many ways, it’s an ongoing adventure with oneself, yoga has helped me personally as I have Crohn’s Disease, this practice helps when I get flare ups and keeps my inflammation in check.

Bronwen – Yoga Teacher

I teach a variety of yoga classes, ranging from Scaravelli inspired Hatha Yoga to Vinyasa Flow, incorporating asana, pranayama (breathing practice), energy-balancing practices and meditation. I’m sensitive to my students’ needs and adapt my classes accordingly.

I’m experienced in training people at all levels, ensuring that beginner students are guided in a way that builds confidence and increases their abilities at a pace that’s comfortable for them, but also keeping more advanced students engaged and challenged.

With my formal training in yoga (RYT200 & 500hr, REPs), exercise science, Pilates and shiatsu, I have a good understanding of the workings of the body – both physically and energetically. I assist clients with various injuries – from back pain to sore knees – helping to rehabilitate and ensuring that other injuries are not exasperated.

Erika – Yoga Teacher

I am a Yoga Alliance International certified yoga teacher and ayurvedic yoga therapist, teaching classical Hatha Yoga, Hatha Flow and Power Yoga practice. I teach static and dynamic yoga, both styles are great for strengthening the physical body, creating flexibility and balance, regulating hormones and increasing energy and concentration.

My classes are inspirational for both beginner and advanced yoga practitioners.

Claire – Yoga Teacher

Yoga has saved my life in many ways as well as improving the quality of my father’s life in many ways, whilst he battled with cancer. I’m excited to see where yoga will take me and what buried truths it will unveil.

In Sivananda yoga, there is a big focus on the relaxation between the asanas to allow the body to absorb the full benefit of each asana, whilst holding each asana & using the breath to relax the body & mind to unlock the magic of yoga.
The structure of Sivananda is to balance the chakra moving the energy from the Crown chakra down through to the root chakra and back to the head.

The mission statement for Sivananda is to serve, love, give meditate, provide and realise.
I truly have the same passion for helping others, sharing all knowledge I have to share & hunger for continual growth as my gurus, Swami Sivananda & Swami Vishnudevananda.

I invite you to come and join me on my journey of continual learning & growth,
Here is what I am offering at Hotspot yoga!
